How Shoperix is being developed
The intended approach: identify the product, check the variant, then compare the offer.
The intended process starts with identifying a product using manufacturer identifiers and structured details where available. A title can provide context, but a similar title alone should not establish identity.
The next step is to distinguish variants: size, colour, storage or configuration may change what a shopper receives. A product-level match should not silently become a claim that two variants are interchangeable.
The planned service would compare offers from Canadian stores using commercial data that Shoperix is authorized to use, then direct the shopper to the store to purchase. The store would handle checkout, payment and fulfilment. These functions are in development and are not available on this site.
A useful comparison also needs current prices, availability and relevant offer conditions. Shipping, taxes, condition and included items can affect the decision. The approach must leave room for uncertainty when those facts cannot be established.
